Two easy ways a lobbyist can keep learning

A lobbyist spends their time moving from one issue to the next. Like a lawyer, they should be hired for their mastery of the policy and political process.

Yet, that still leaves the lobbyist with the need to keep on learning as new clients and issues come through the door.

It would be useful if there were techniques to help you learn quickly and in depth.

Fortunately, there are. I have found two techniques I have found helpful.

Feynman Technique

One, is the Feynman technique. This video describes the technique well.

 

Reading to to the Wall

The other is the ‘reading to the wall’. It is described in “The Overnight Student”.  I think it is best to try this in the privacy of your own home office.
