I wanted to share a FH Briefing on the outlook for Europe’s Environment Committee. There will be a lot of old and influential faces not coming back to the 8th European Parliament. The lifeline to Europe’s biofuel industry of state subsidies is about to end. Last Wednesday commissioners backed new environmental state aid guidelines that will ban state subsidies for Europe’s first generation biofuel production.
